Designates April 1, 2014, as "FSU Day" in the State of Florida in recognition of Florida State University's contributions as an outstanding institution of higher education.

Florida State University's main campus in Tallahassee is the oldest continuous site of higher education in Florida and chartered the state's first Phi Beta Kappa chapter in 1935.

FSU offers 314 graduate and undergraduate degree programs across 16 colleges and schools, with a faculty of 2,140 members including 13 National Academy of Sciences members and 6 Nobel Laureates.

The 2013 football team won its third BCS National Championship and produced quarterback Jameis Winston as its third Heisman Trophy winner.

A copy of the resolution shall be presented to FSU President Dr. Eric J. Barron.
