Recognizes the patriotic service and sacrifice of Florida's active duty military servicemembers, National Guard members, reservists, veterans, and their families.

Acknowledges that Florida is home to more than 56,000 active duty military personnel, approximately 12,000 National Guard members, more than 35,000 select reservists, and more than 1.5 million veterans (the third largest veteran population in the United States).

Notes that more than 300 Floridians have died in the Global War on Terrorism and more than 2,000 have been wounded in action, with 25 Floridians awarded the Medal of Honor and two more to receive it on March 18, 2014.

Expresses a lasting debt of gratitude to all current and veteran military service members and Gold Star Families who have lost loved ones in service.

Directs that a copy of the resolution be presented to the Department of Veterans' Affairs and the Department of Military Affairs as recognition of these sentiments.
