A jury returned a verdict against the North Broward Hospital District on June 8, 2005, with a final judgment of $808,554.78; the district already paid the statutory limit of $200,000 under Florida law.

Limits attorney fees, lobbying fees, costs, and related expenses to a maximum of 25 percent of the $608,554.78 award.

Designates the combined statutory payment and this appropriation as sole compensation for all present and future claims arising from Janet Pandrea's death.
