Raises compulsory school attendance age from 16 to 18 years old in Florida, requiring all children between ages 6 and 18 to attend school regularly.

Allows students who reach age 18 to file a declaration of intent to terminate school enrollment without parental signature or notification, removing the requirement for parent consent and district notification.

Requires high school equivalency diploma candidates to be at least 18 years old on the examination date, eliminating the previous exception allowing 16-year-olds to test in extraordinary circumstances.

Repeals the requirement for district school boards to offer GED programs to juvenile justice facility students aged 16 or provide notification that they are no longer required to attend school.

Takes effect July 1, 2014.
