Exempts information from screenings for participation in treatment-based drug court programs from public records requirements, including substance abuse screenings, behavioral health evaluations, and treatment status reports.

Allows disclosure of exempted information only upon written request from the participant or their legal representative, or to other governmental entities that need the information for screening or treatment purposes.

Records from service providers regarding identity, diagnosis, prognosis, and service provision must be disclosed pursuant to section 397.501(7).

Applies retroactively to information relating to participants or persons considered for participation in treatment-based drug court programs before, on, or after the effective date of this exemption.

Subject to the Open Government Sunset Review Act and repeals on October 2, 2019, unless reenacted by the Legislature.
