• Defines new term "electronic device" to include cellular phones, tablets, and portable devices capable of communicating across computer networks, broadening scope of computer crime statutes.

• Updates criminal penalty chart to reflect new offense severity rankings for intellectual property crimes and offenses against computer users under revised statute sections.
