Expands public records exemption to include trade secrets residing in electronic devices, not just computers and computer systems.

Applies exemption only to trade secrets (as defined in s. 812.081) held by state agencies and exempt from disclosure under Florida's public records law and state constitution.

Makes the exemption subject to the Open Government Sunset Review Act with automatic repeal on October 2, 2019, unless the Legislature reenacts it.

Establishes that disclosure of such trade secrets would harm business interests of providers and impair governmental cooperation, outweighing public benefit from disclosure.

Takes effect on the same date as SB 364 or similar legislation, if adopted in the same legislative session.
