County park and recreation departments must provide partial or full discounts on park entrance fees to active military members, honorably discharged veterans, disabled veterans with service-connected disabilities, and surviving spouses or parents of military members or law enforcement officers and firefighters who died in the line of duty.

Municipal park and recreation departments must provide the same partial or full discounts on park entrance fees to the same categories of eligible individuals.

Regional transportation authorities must provide partial or full discounts on fares and other charges for disabled veterans as defined in s. 295.07(1)(a).

"Park entrance fee" is defined as a fee to access county or municipal park lands, but excludes expanded amenity fees for campgrounds, aquatic facilities, stadiums, arenas, facility rentals, special events, boat launching, golf, zoos, museums, gardens, and programs.

Eligible individuals must present written documentation satisfactory to the county, municipality, or transportation authority to demonstrate eligibility for discounts; effective date is July 1, 2014.
