Adds licensed psychologists (chapter 490) to the list of health care providers protected by a 12-month limitations period for health insurers and health maintenance organizations to submit claims for overpayment.

Adds licensed psychologists to the list of health care providers subject to a 12-month limitations period to submit claims for underpayment to insurers or health maintenance organizations.

Adds licensed psychologists to the list of health care providers eligible to receive direct payment from health insurers when an insured authorizes such payment on claim forms.

Clarifies that claims for overpayment and underpayment beyond 12 months are not permitted, except for providers convicted of fraud.

Effective date: July 1, 2014.
