Requires school districts receive at least 1 year of advance notice before implementing new state educational requirements, unless the law already provides 1 year or more lead time.

Applies to new requirements from enactment of new educational programs or changes to existing major educational programs under Florida K-20 Education Code chapters 1000-1013.

Allows school districts the specified lead time to properly plan, budget, and implement new state requirements.

Effective July 1, 2017.
