Increases the number of physician assistants that a single physician may supervise from four to eight currently licensed physician assistants at any one time.

Authorizes physician assistants to execute practice-related activities in accordance with their education, training, and expertise as delegated by the supervising physician, unless expressly prohibited by law or rules.

Removes the requirement for two letters of recommendation from physician assistant licensure applications and eliminates the requirement that statements be sworn affidavits.

Updates terminology throughout the statute from "supervisory" to "supervising" physician and makes various technical changes to cross-references related to prescriptive authority provisions.

Effective date: July 1, 2014.
