Creates s. 466.051, F.S. to establish confidentiality exemption for personal identifying information in dental workforce surveys submitted by dentists and dental hygienists to the Department of Health.

Permits disclosure of confidential information only with express written consent of the individual, by court order upon showing of good cause, or to approved research entities under data-use agreements with restrictions on follow-back contacts and record destruction requirements.

Prohibits research entities from releasing information that would identify individuals and limits use of records to the approved research protocol only.

Exemption is subject to the Open Government Sunset Review Act and automatically repeals on October 2, 2019 unless reenacted by the Legislature.

Legislature finds that confidentiality of personal identifying information is necessary to ensure candid responses and accurate workforce data for the Department of Health.
