Creates public records exemption for personal identifying information of individuals who apply for concealed weapon or firearm licenses held by tax collectors appointed by the Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services.

Exemption applies retroactively to information held by tax collectors before, on, or after the effective date of the bill.

Exempted information may be disclosed with written consent of the applicant, by court order showing good cause, or to law enforcement agencies in connection with lawful duties.

Subsection (2) is subject to the Open Government Sunset Review Act and automatically repeals on October 2, 2019, unless reenacted by the Legislature.

Bill takes effect on the same date as SB 544 or similar legislation, if such legislation is adopted in the same legislative session and becomes law.
