Amends section 1002.221, Florida Statutes to save the public records exemption for K-12 education records from repeal under the Open Government Sunset Review Act.

Education records as defined in the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) remain confidential and exempt from Florida public records requirements.

Agencies and institutions cannot release student education records without written consent except as permitted by FERPA.

Education records released to the Auditor General or Office of Program Policy Analysis and Government Accountability must be used and maintained in accordance with FERPA.

Removes the October 2, 2014 sunset date and repeal provision that would have terminated the exemption unless reenacted by the Legislature.
