Proposes a constitutional amendment to Article IV, Section 2 requiring the Governor to assign the Lieutenant Governor as head of one executive department or agency.

The Lieutenant Governor would assume the department or agency head position regardless of any legal qualifications normally required for that role.

Assignment or reassignment of the Lieutenant Governor to a department or agency head position does not require Senate confirmation or Cabinet approval.

The amendment would be submitted to Florida voters for approval at the next general election or an earlier special election authorized by law.

Current constitutional language allowing the Governor to assign general duties to the Lieutenant Governor would be retained alongside this new requirement.
