Prohibits students from taking district-developed, district-selected, or district-mandated assessments within 2 weeks before or 2 weeks after taking a statewide standardized assessment.

Allows students to take college entrance examinations, Advanced Placement exams, International Baccalaureate exams, Advanced International Certificate of Education exams, or industry-approved exams for national certifications during the restricted 2-week periods.

Allows students to retake statewide standardized assessments during the restricted 2-week periods.

Takes effect July 1, 2014.
