Labor pools must select one of four payment methods for day laborers: cash, negotiable instruments, payroll debit card, or electronic fund transfer to a worker-designated financial institution.

Labor pools must provide written notice to day laborers before their first pay period explaining the selected payment method and the worker's right to elect a different method, with an option to decline payroll debit card or electronic fund transfer.

If selecting payroll debit card payment, labor pools must offer workers the option of electronic fund transfer and provide a list of nearby businesses offering fee-free ATM withdrawals before implementation.

Labor pools must comply with minimum wage requirements and may only deduct amounts authorized by federal or state law, with prohibitions on deductions that reduce pay below minimum wage.

Labor pools may deliver wage statements electronically upon written request from day laborers, rather than exclusively providing them in paper form.
