Amends section 125.01, Florida Statutes to authorize counties with populations of 1 million or more to establish maximum rates that taxi permit holders may charge taxi drivers to operate a taxi.

Notwithstanding section 125.0103 or any other provision of law, allows these populous counties to regulate the lease/operating fees charged to drivers.

Applies only to unincorporated areas of counties meeting the 1 million population threshold.

Takes effect July 1, 2014.
