Increases the number of physician assistants a physician may supervise from four to eight at any one time.

Changes physician assistant licensing requirements by removing the need for sworn statements (converting to certifications) and eliminating the two-letter recommendation requirement.

Modifies prescription authority requirements by changing physician assistants from filing signed affidavits to certifying completion of 10 continuing medical education hours in their specialty practice with each license renewal.

Applies identical amendments to both osteopathic physicians (section 458.347) and allopathic physicians (section 459.022) who supervise physician assistants.

Takes effect July 1, 2014.
