Establish a pilot project for the Medical Education Reimbursement and Loan Repayment Program in Calhoun, DeSoto, Glades, Gulf, Flagler, Franklin, Gadsden, Hamilton, Jefferson, Madison, Putnam, and Taylor Counties.

Evaluate the effectiveness of the program combined with federal loan repayment programs in encouraging MDs and DOs with primary care specialties to practice in underserved locations within pilot counties.

Assess the long-term retention rate of participating medical doctors and doctors of osteopathic medicine in underserved locations of the pilot counties.

Require the Department of Health to submit findings and recommendations to the Governor and Legislature before the 2021 Regular Session, with the pilot project subsection expiring June 30, 2021.

Direct the Department of Health to request sufficient budget funding for medical education reimbursement, loan repayments, program administration, and pilot project implementation.
