Requires owners, operators, employees, and volunteers at summer day camps and 24-hour summer camps to pass background screening using level 2 standards under Florida chapter 435

Directs the Department of Children and Families to create and maintain a publicly accessible online registry of persons who have met background screening requirements for summer camp employment

Registry information will be populated by summer camp owners and operators to facilitate employment decisions and provide transparency to parents

Authorizes the Department of Children and Families to adopt rules necessary to implement the background screening and registry requirements

Takes effect July 1, 2014
