Law enforcement agencies must submit monthly reports to the Department of Law Enforcement on crimes affecting persons with disabilities, legally blind persons, and mobility-impaired persons, and to the Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles on enforcement of traffic laws assisting these populations and crashes involving them.

Driver improvement courses, traffic law and substance abuse education programs, and driver education courses must include study of section 316.1301 and traffic laws to assist legally blind and mobility-impaired persons.

Driver license examinations for Class E and commercial driver licenses must include at least one question testing knowledge of section 316.1301 and traffic laws assisting legally blind and mobility-impaired persons, with emphasis on pedestrian right-of-way during right turns.

Law enforcement officer basic skills certification courses must include study of section 316.1301 and traffic laws to assist legally blind and mobility-impaired persons.

The act takes effect July 1, 2014.
