Recognizes Deputy Robert Lundy of the Taylor County Sheriff's Office for his response to an armed assailant at Timberland Ford in Perry on February 5, 2014.

Deputy Lundy exchanged gunfire with an employee who crashed a vehicle through the dealership and opened fire, resulting in the assailant's death.

Deputy Lundy was shot three times, suffering a stomach wound and eye trauma, and spent several weeks in a coma at UF Health Shands Hospital in Gainesville.

Deputy Lundy was permanently blinded in one eye, has vision loss in the other, and faces a long recovery to regain the ability to walk unassisted.

The resolution honors Deputy Lundy's sacrifice and service to the law enforcement community and directs that a copy be presented to him.
