Amends Florida Statute 408.043 to require the Agency for Health Care Administration to automatically assume there is a need for an additional hospice provider in any service area that has only one licensed hospice or one hospice with a certificate of need

Aims to discourage regional monopolies and promote competition in hospice services

Maintains existing requirements that certificates of need for hospices must be based on community need and service availability

Effective date: July 1, 2015
