Requires personal flotation devices used during water skiing, parasailing, aquaplaning, and similar activities to be noninflatable types I, II, III, or V approved by the U.S. Coast Guard and used according to the approval label.

Mandates that all persons operating or riding on personal watercraft wear type I, II, III, or V non-inflatable personal flotation devices approved by the U.S. Coast Guard and used in accordance with the approval label.

Requires children under 6 years of age on vessels less than 26 feet in length to wear type I, II, or III Coast Guard-approved personal flotation devices used according to the approval label while the vessel is underway.

Defines "underway" as all times except when a vessel is anchored, moored, made fast to shore, or aground.

Takes effect July 1, 2015.
