Amends section 193.0235 of Florida Statutes to require separate assessment of common elements in subdivisions that are located in different counties, municipalities, special districts, or water management districts than the subdivision itself.

Prohibits property appraisers from prorating the value of such separately-located common elements and including them in the assessment of individual lots within the subdivision.

Requires ad valorem taxes and non-ad valorem assessments to be assessed directly against the separately valued common element property rather than distributed among subdivision lot owners.

Takes effect January 1, 2016.
