Redefines "volunteer firefighter" to include individuals who provide fire extinguishment or fire prevention services for municipalities with populations less than 12,000 or counties with populations less than 175,000, in addition to those holding a Volunteer Firefighter Certificate of Completion.

Exempts small municipalities (less than 12,000 population) and counties (less than 175,000 population) from fire standards, training rules, and the Florida Firefighters Occupational Safety and Health Act requirements when utilizing volunteer firefighters or volunteer fire departments.

Exempts volunteer firefighters employed by qualifying small municipalities or counties from state fire standards and occupational safety regulations.

Reenacts section 627.4107 to prohibit life and health insurers from canceling or nonrenewing policies for government employees, firefighters, emergency medical technicians, paramedics, and volunteer firefighters exposed to toxic chemicals during their lawful duties.

Takes effect July 1, 2015.
