Financial Services Commission develops a uniform mitigation verification inspection form for use by all insurers when evaluating windstorm discount applications

Authorized inspectors who may sign valid forms include home inspectors (with 3+ hours of hurricane mitigation training), building code inspectors, general/building/residential contractors, professional engineers, professional architects, and any other qualified individuals recognized by the insurer

Insurers issuing policies to new policyholders may only accept the most recently adopted commission form or previously adopted forms completed within 5 years of the new policy effective date

Effective date is July 1, 2015
