Amend section 419.001 to clarify that distance requirements between community residential homes apply regardless of which agency serves the clients housed in those homes.

Require assisted living facilities with limited mental health licenses located in municipalities with populations over 200,000 to maintain 24-hour security services provided by a licensed security officer in uniform.

Mandate facilities install and maintain surveillance cameras on premises to ensure safety of residents and community.

Require facilities to notify the municipality within 20 days of accepting residents released from Department of Corrections custody or with prior criminal history within the past 5 years, and maintain sign-in/sign-out logs for such residents with quarterly submission to the municipality.

Effective date of July 1, 2015.
