Increases incentive gain-time award for inmates completing high school equivalency diplomas or vocational certificates from 60 to 120 days

Requires that application of the 120-day gain-time award cannot reduce an inmate's sentence below 70 percent of their original term of imprisonment

Changes departmental discretion language from "shall" to "may" regarding grant of gain-time awards by the Department of Corrections

Establishes a maximum cap of 120 days total gain-time for educational attainment under this provision

Takes effect July 1, 2015
