School districts must adopt and revise their bullying and harassment policies at least every 3 years in substantial conformity with the Department of Education's model policy.

School policies must be implemented on an ongoing basis throughout the school year and integrated with the school's curriculum, bullying prevention and intervention program, discipline policies, and violence prevention efforts.

Policies must include mandatory reporting procedures that permit anonymous reports, though formal discipline cannot be based solely on anonymous reports.

Policies must contain a list of authorized programs providing instruction on identifying, preventing, and responding to bullying and harassment for students, parents, teachers, administrators, counseling staff, and school volunteers.

The effective date of this amendment is July 1, 2015.
