Amends section 48.031, F.S. to allow criminal witness subpoenas for depositions to be posted at a witness's residence after one failed service attempt, instead of the previous requirement of three failed attempts.

Requires subpoenas posted at a witness's residence must be posted at least 5 days before the date of the witness's required appearance.

Maintains existing rules for criminal witness subpoenas commanding court appearances, which still require three failed service attempts made at different times on different dates before posting is allowed.

Reenacts sections 48.196(2) and 409.257(5), F.S. to incorporate the amendment and ensure consistency with references to section 48.031 in Florida International Commercial Arbitration Act proceedings and Department of Children and Families paternity or child support proceedings.

Effective date: July 1, 2015.
