Florida Real Estate Commission must adopt rules allowing brokerages to temporarily register a broker on an emergency basis if a sole broker dies or becomes unexpectedly unable to serve.

Individuals with a 4-year degree or higher in real estate from an accredited institution are exempt from postlicensure and initial licensure education requirements.

Commission may reinstate a void license if the individual failed to comply due to illness or economic hardship, provided they apply within 6 months and meet continuing education requirements and fees.

Appraisers and appraisal management companies must prepare and retain work files and order files for 5 years or the period specified in the Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice, whichever is greater.

Department may inspect appraisal management companies at all reasonable hours; prohibition on inspecting records except in connection with pending investigations is removed.

Act takes effect July 1, 2015.
