HB 755 Summary

• Removes the exception that excluded convenience businesses where the owner or family members work between 11 p.m. and 5 a.m. from the definition of "convenience business"

• Exempts convenience businesses where the owner or family members work between 11 p.m. and 5 a.m. from security requirements that would otherwise apply after crimes like robbery, murder, or assault occur at the location

• Eliminates the $100 administrative fee previously required when submitting proposed and biennial robbery deterrence and safety training curricula to the Attorney General

• Removes the requirement for the Attorney General to biennially reapprove convenience store employee training curricula

• Effective date: July 1, 2015
