• Defines "point-of-sale terminal" as an electronic device used to process credit card, debit card, or similar charge card payments at retail locations supported by a payment network.

• Authorizes the Department of the Lottery to create a program allowing persons 18 years or older to purchase lottery tickets or play slips at point-of-sale terminals.

• Establishes requirements for point-of-sale terminals including: dispensing paper lottery tickets, verifying purchaser age with valid driver license, processing transactions through approved platforms, and accepting only specified payment cards.

• Prohibits point-of-sale terminals from revealing winning numbers (which must be selected by Florida Lottery drawing at a subsequent time and different location) and from displaying video depictions of slot machine or casino game themes for game play.

• Takes effect July 1, 2015.
