County and municipal park or recreation departments must provide partial or full discounts on park entrance fees to active military members, honorably discharged veterans, service-connected disabled veterans, and surviving spouses and parents of military members who died in combat-related conditions.

County and municipal park or recreation departments must provide discounts to surviving spouses and parents of law enforcement officers, firefighters, and emergency medical technicians or paramedics employed by state or local government who died in the line of duty.

Regional transportation authorities must provide partial or full discounts on fixed-route transportation system fares to disabled veterans as defined in section 295.07(1)(a).

"Park entrance fee" is defined as a fee to access lands managed by a park or recreation department, but excludes amenity fees for campgrounds, aquatic facilities, stadiums, facility rentals, special events, boat launching, golf, zoos, museums, gardens, and programs.

Act takes effect July 1, 2015, and requires individuals seeking discounts to present information satisfactory to the respective department evidencing their eligibility.
