Amends section 943.0595, Florida Statutes to make criminal history records that are automatically expunged upon restoration of civil rights confidential and exempt from public records requirements.

Retained expunged records are available only to criminal justice agencies for their criminal justice purposes and cannot be disclosed to any other person or entity except by court order.

Criminal justice agencies may maintain a notation indicating compliance with an expunction.

The exemption is subject to the Open Government Sunset Review Act and shall stand repealed on October 2, 2020, unless reenacted by the Legislature.

Effective date is contingent upon HB 1135 or similar legislation becoming law in the same legislative session.
