• Creates new statutes (718.128, 719.129, 720.317) permitting associations to conduct elections and member votes through internet-based online voting systems with written member consent.

• Establishes online voting system requirements including member identity authentication, ballot secrecy protections, device communication confirmation at least 14 days before voting, and receipt transmission to voters.

• Provides that members voting electronically count toward quorum determination, but substantive votes may only be taken on issues specifically identified in the electronic vote when quorum is established through electronic voting.

• Takes effect July 1, 2015.
