HB 1275 - Florida Bright Futures Scholarship Program

• Reduces minimum SAT and ACT scores for Florida Academic Scholars award eligibility for students graduating in 2013-2014 and thereafter: SAT from 1290 to 1290 (89th percentile) and ACT from 29 to 29.

• Reduces minimum SAT and ACT scores for Florida Medallion Scholars award for students graduating in 2013-2014 and thereafter: SAT from 1170 to 1170 (75th percentile) and ACT from 26 to 26, with adjusted scores for home education students.

• Decreases minimum weighted grade point average for Florida Academic Scholars award from 3.7 to 3.5 in college-preparatory courses.

• Decreases minimum weighted grade point average for Florida Medallion Scholars award from 3.3 to 3.0 in college-preparatory courses.

• Effective date: July 1, 2015.
