Authorizes Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office to pay $371,850.98 to Eddna Torres de Mayne, as personal representative of Manuel Antonio Matute's estate, for the wrongful death of Manuel Antonio Matute resulting from a deputy sheriff's negligence in a vehicle accident on October 29, 2008.

Combined with the $128,149.02 previously paid by the sheriff's office in May 2011, the total settlement payment reaches $500,000, which was agreed to on January 4, 2011.

The combined payments from the sheriff's office and this appropriation constitute sole compensation for all present and future claims arising from the incident.

Limits attorney fees, lobbying fees, costs, and other similar expenses to 25 percent of the $371,850.98 amount awarded under this act.

Act takes effect upon becoming law.
