Removes vacation rentals and transient apartments from classification and regulation as public lodging establishments under Florida law

Amends section 509.242, F.S. to eliminate the "vacation rental" category, which previously covered condos, cooperatives, and single-family through four-family dwelling units used for transient lodging

Deletes the "transient apartment" classification, previously defined as buildings where more than 25 percent of units are available for transient occupancy

Retains regulation of hotels, motels, nontransient apartments, bed and breakfast inns, and timeshare projects as public lodging establishments

Effective date: July 1, 2015
