Removes state preemption over regulation of public lodging and public food service establishments, allowing local governments to set their own sanitation standards, inspection requirements, personnel training/testing rules, and nutritional content/marketing regulations

Eliminates the state restriction that prevented local governments from prohibiting vacation rentals or regulating rental duration and frequency

Removes the exception that had grandfathered local vacation rental regulations adopted on or before June 1, 2011

Deletes the provision allowing local vacation rental regulations based on property valuation criteria in areas of critical state concern

Effective date: July 1, 2015
