HB 4025 Summary: Traffic Infraction Detectors

• Maintains enforcement authority for traffic infraction enforcement officers to issue citations for traffic signal violations under s. 316.0083, but removes detector-based enforcement provisions

• Establishes penalty structure of $158 for traffic signal violations enforced by law enforcement officers, with different revenue distributions based on whether violations are enforced by state, county, or municipal officers

• Specifies that violations of traffic signals enforced by traffic infraction enforcement officers receive no driver license points and cannot be used for insurance rate-setting purposes
