Authorizes the North Broward Hospital District to pay Charles Pandrea $608,554.78 as compensation for the death of his wife Janet Pandrea resulting from medical negligence.

Janet Pandrea died on April 2, 2002, after a pathologist at Coral Springs Medical Center misdiagnosed a benign thymoma as non-Hodgkin's lymphoma, leading to chemotherapy treatments that caused fatal complications.

A Broward County jury returned a verdict against the North Broward Hospital District on June 8, 2005, for $808,554.78; the district already paid the statutory limit of $200,000, leaving a remainder of $608,554.78.

Limits attorney fees, lobbying fees, costs, and related expenses to no more than 25 percent of the $608,554.78 award.

The combined payments under this act and Florida's statutory tort limit ($768.28) constitute sole compensation for all present and future claims arising from Janet Pandrea's death.
