Authorizes the City of Tallahassee to pay $700,000 to Mark T. Sawicki and his wife Sharon L. Sawicki for injuries sustained on October 2, 2009, when a city-operated solid waste collection vehicle ran over Mr. Sawicki while he was stopped on his bicycle at an intersection

Mr. Sawicki suffered multiple fractures to his pelvis, femur, acetabulum, pubic ramus, and sacrum, along with a torn urethra, multiple abrasions and lacerations, and neurological damage resulting in a dropped foot

The City of Tallahassee previously paid $200,000 under the statutory liability limits in s. 768.28, Florida Statutes, making the total settlement $900,000

Attorney fees, lobbying fees, costs, and similar expenses are capped at 25 percent of the $700,000 award

The combined payments constitute full compensation for all present and future claims related to the incident
