Pari-mutuel permit applicants and permitholders are prohibited from contributing to campaign accounts or political committees of candidates and officeholders for Governor, Attorney General, Chief Financial Officer, Commissioner of Agriculture, state senator, or state representative.

Department of Business and Professional Regulation officials in specified positions (including division director, deputy director, and various chiefs within the Division of Pari-mutuel Wagering) are prohibited from holding public office or actively campaigning while employed.

Department officials are banned from holding other employment or receiving compensation for speaking at or attending gaming or pari-mutuel industry events.

Department officials cannot accept employment from or enter contractual relationships with gaming or pari-mutuel industry entities for 4 years after leaving department employment.

The act takes effect July 1, 2015 and may be cited as the "Public Confidence in Gaming Act."
