Amends service of process rules for criminal witness subpoenas commanding appearance for a deposition to allow posting at witness's residence after only one failed service attempt, instead of three attempts required for court appearances.

Maintains the requirement that subpoenas for court appearances may only be posted after three attempts to serve at different times and dates have failed.

Requires subpoenas be posted at least 5 days before the witness's required appearance date.

Reenacts cross-references in s. 48.196(2) and s. 409.257(5), Florida Statutes to incorporate the amendments to s. 48.031.

Effective July 1, 2015.
