SB 704 Summary

• Repeals 18 sections and subsections of Florida Statutes that have expired or become inoperative through noncurrent repeal, including provisions related to the Medicaid managed care pilot program, coastal redevelopment projects, and fertilizer investigational allowances.

• Amends section 409.912 (Medicaid cost-effective purchasing) by deleting numerous expired subsections and restructuring the remaining provisions into a cleaner numbering system, consolidating Medicaid managed care and prescription drug program requirements.

• Amends section 409.9122 (Mandatory Medicaid managed care enrollment) by deleting expired subsections related to the MediPass program and managed care quality standards that expired October 1, 2014.

• Updates multiple cross-references throughout Florida Statutes (sections 409.91195, 409.91196, 409.962, 636.0145, 641.19, 641.225, and 641.386) to conform to the redesignated subsections of section 409.912 and deleted provisions.

• Makes technical amendments to sections 110.123, 339.135, 576.061, 828.27, and 1002.32 to delete expired temporary provisions related to state group insurance, highway funding, fertilizer standards, animal control surcharges, and school funding.
