Requires the physician performing or referring for abortion to be physically present in the same room and provide oral informed consent information at least 24 hours before the procedure, rather than only "in person."

Mandates ultrasound verification of gestational age performed by the physician or qualified technician, with the woman offered opportunity to view images and hear explanation unless she presents documentation of rape, incest, domestic violence, human trafficking, or serious health risk.

Allows the 24-hour advance notice and physician consultation to occur within 24 hours prior to procedure if the woman presents at appointment and provides documentation of being a victim of rape, incest, domestic violence, or human trafficking.

Requires written acknowledgment from the woman before abortion that all required informed consent information has been provided, including printed department materials on fetal development, pregnancy alternatives, and medical assistance benefits.

Takes effect July 1, 2015.
