Exempts information furnished to state, county, or municipal agencies for emergency information gathering systems from public records disclosure, including name, address, telephone number, email, health information, and other personal data.

Applies retroactively to information held by agencies before, on, or after the effective date of the exemption.

Exemption subject to repeal on October 2, 2020 unless the Legislature reviews and reenacts it through the Open Government Sunset Review Act.

Establishes that the exemption is necessary because public access to emergency information could result in misuse, fraud, or harm to individuals providing personal and medical history to first responders.

Effective date: July 1, 2015.
